I am a coach at heart. For the past 20 years (and counting), I have coached the women’s tennis team at Emory University. While I truly love the sport, what really motivates me are the relationships I form with my players. It is a gift to work with such ambitious and engaged student-athletes, and it is a special thing to watch them walk away from our program having gained a home away from home, a second family, and above all, a firm belief in who they are and what they stand for. Witnessing this growth is so rewarding to me that I felt compelled to provide the same opportunity to student-athletes outside of my program. So, this past fall, I started mentoring high school student-athletes in my neighborhood with their college search and recruiting process.
It is a gift to work with ambitious and engaged student-athletes
I have so thoroughly enjoyed the process that I decided to extend my reach further and take on more clients in and outside of metro Atlanta. I continue to coach the women’s tennis team at Emory while working with this new population of young, determined student-athletes from all sports and walks of life. The college search process can be an exciting but stressful time for student-athletes and parents alike. However, I firmly believe that the perfect program exists for each and every student-athlete; all it takes is an individualized approach with guidance from someone who knows what to look for, and more importantly, knows where to find it. If you know anyone who can benefit from the depth of my knowledge and experience, I would love the opportunity to navigate them through the college search, admissions and recruiting process.
