Amy Bryant, one of the most successful coaches in Emory University and collegiate tennis history, has been elected to the 2025 class of the Sessions Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame. The Georgia Tennis Foundation announced Bryant’s selection alongside fellow inductee Jon Niemeyer, recognizing her extraordinary 23-year coaching career that elevated Emory’s women’s tennis program to national prominence. Under Bryant’s leadership from 2000 to 2022, the Eagles posted a remarkable 428-116 record, reached the NCAA postseason every year, and captured seven NCAA Division III team national championships. Her teams also produced six NCAA singles champions, five NCAA doubles champions, 18 UAA conference titles, 103 All-American honors, seven Academic All-Americans, and five NCAA Postgraduate Scholars. Notably, Bryant became the first woman in NCAA history to win a national team championship both as a player and as a coach.
Bryant joins an esteemed group in the Sessions Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame, which proudly honors 76 of Georgia’s most legendary tennis players, coaches, and contributors. This recognition celebrates not only her remarkable achievements on the court but also her deep commitment to shaping lives through sport. As one of the most decorated coaches in collegiate tennis, Bryant’s legacy now stands alongside the very best in Georgia tennis history.
