Amy Bryant, a trailblazer in Division III athletics, has been inducted into the inaugural full class of the Richard A. Rasmussen University Athletic Association (UAA) Hall of Fame. This first full class honors 36 individuals—student-athletes, coaches, and administrators—who have shaped the legacy of the UAA since its founding in 1987. Representing every sport and institution within the UAA, the class showcases the conference’s enduring commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics. Bryant is one of six Emory University figures selected, highlighting her exceptional impact on Emory’s women’s tennis and soccer programs as both a student-athlete and longtime head coach.

Bryant’s legacy is unmatched: she became the first woman in NCAA history to win a national team championship as both a player and a coach, leading Emory to its first-ever NCAA title in 1996 and later guiding the program to seven NCAA team championships and 18 UAA titles over her 23-year coaching career. As a player, she earned All-American honors in both singles and doubles and was named UAA MVP as a senior. She also starred on the soccer field, ending her career as Emory’s all-time leader in goals and points at the time. Her induction into the UAA Hall of Fame reflects not only her competitive success but also her leadership, mentorship, and the enduring impact she’s had on generations of student-athletes.
