I WORK WITH STUDENT-ATHLETES WHO ARE SERIOUS ABOUT REALIZING THEIR FULL ACADEMIC, ATHLETIC, AND PERSONAL POTENTIAL IN COLLEGE.

Our work together begins early in high school and ends when the student-athlete has committed or signed to play for a college sports team. During that time, we will 1) identify and prioritize goals, 2) develop a plan for achieving them, and 3) solve any problems or challenges that emerge along the way.

 steps to a commitment:

FAMILY KICKOFF

Initial conversations and intake forms address the student athlete’s academic history, athletic profile, what leads him/her to want to play sports in college, academic interests, financial considerations, schools and teams already considered, video creation recommendations, and course selection mapping.

TEAM AND SCHOOL IDENTIFICATION

I work with the family to create an individualized list of 20-30 schools in the student-athlete’s athletic and academic range, and identify factors like college location, size, selectivity and financial aid or scholarship availability.

PRIVATE STUDENT ATHLETE SESSIONs

These virtual sessions establish a level of familiarity between the student athlete and myself, so the student-athlete feels comfortable asking me any questions and sharing any concerns that pop up along the way. Additionally, we will discuss hopes, dreams and fears and the impact of playing college sports.

N

ASSESSMENT

This testing helps to identify strengths, what the student athlete stands to gain through college sports, how he/she can grow and what will be his/her unique contribution to a team.

U

RESEARCH

I help my clients identify team dynamics and culture for the colleges and teams on our list. This will help narrow the list down to the final 5-10 schools with teams that will best support the student athlete for four years.

h

ACTION PLAn & IMPLEMENTATION

This is a fluid timeline that includes timing for standardized testing, essay and application completion as well as targeted recruiting dates for things like ID camps.

SKILLS INSTRUCTION

Recruiting etiquette for the entire family will be shared, including tips for communicating with coaches, team visit behavior and social media usage.

COACH ON CALL

Sometimes a student athlete needs quick guidance on how to respond to a coach’s text or how to manage a real-time recruiting situation. I am accessible via email and messaging to help.

DECISION MAKING

Over the course of our time together, we will discuss options and offers and help make college sport decisions that are right for the student athlete.

Strategy Session

for Middle School & 9th Grade parents

Parent meetings can begin as early as middle school.  We will discuss how to best position your student-athlete for long-term, holistic success.

Packages

for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior student-athletes

We will examine goals and preferences, identify options and create an action plan from coaching outreach to offer acceptance – with essay and application support also available.

“I can’t imagine having to tackle the college admissions process without bryant college coaching. The best part is, our son learned so much about himself along the way.”
